Project Description: The goals of this kitchen addition we to totally redo the kitchen and the nook area into a single environment. This homeowner is a chef and loves to have her family participate and get involved with the meal preparation process. The island was designed to seat 10 people along with a dramatic “etched” limestone countertop that included built up edges. The room was expanded by about 100 square feet to allow for the functional reconfiguration of food preparation areas. The finished product is dramatic, inviting yet soft and warm.
