sump pumps are generally required when bars are installed in basements which we don&#039;t have too many around here.  in our typical environment even adding a say a half bath, we have our plumber visit the job site to determine how best to tie into the existing sewer/drain system.  most times customers have some flexibility about the location of the new sink/toilet etc that requies the drain.  from there we either tie into an existing system or take the new drain system out of the home and trench to the sewer connection.
